An additional \u201cDrug Laboratory\u201d can be used to practise the correct preparation of the requested dilutions for the heart and smooth mucle experiments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

SimMuscle<\/strong><\/mark> and SimNerv<\/strong><\/mark> offer highly realistic experimental set-ups on the computer screen to perform the classical \u201cfrog experiments\u201d.\u00a0 SimMuscle is for recording of the contractions of the frog\u2019s gastrocnemic muscle, e.g. single twitches vs. tetanic contractions, muscle fatigue, curves of isometric and isotonic maxima. SimNerve allows recordings of compound action potentials from the frog\u2019s sciatic nerve to determine the conduction velocity, refractory period, strength-duration curve, etc., also demonstrating impact of electrode positions and verve blocks.\u00a0
